Prompt Café Interior Design

The café, named Prompt, is located in the city center and features a small natural environment. To integrate the external natural surroundings, we aimed for a seamless blend with the interior space, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. As a result, when designing the layout, we arranged the tables and furniture to face outward, allowing guests to enjoy the view of the natural elements outside.

In designing the exterior façade, to incorporate natural elements outside, a finishing material was applied over the large glass surface, which posed challenges during construction. The space of Prompt café utilized a wood veneer material for finishing, and the overall surface was coated in an off-white paint, creating a harmonious and natural aesthetic.

By leveraging the physical properties of stainless steel, a balance was achieved between the warm tones of wood and off-white finishes and the cool tones of metal. The flooring is made of a fine finishing material called microcement, also in an off-white color, using light tones throughout. To create a space that naturally attracts the outdoors, it was essential to eliminate any heterogeneity between the interior and exterior.

In the center of the space, I created a built-in chair, establishing a central area in the café where people can relax and enjoy. I also crafted a copper wire installation that extends toward the window, offering an outward view. Additionally, I designed a communal table, with plans to create another cozy space by incorporating a ceiling design. I also built a speaker and a shelf, adding distinct functional elements to enhance the overall ambiance.
